Default If you have a contest, make people assured you won't sell their info

So there was once a time when I decided I'd win a bunch of stuff by entering every contest I could.

Instead I got a mailbox full of spam that took me ages to clear out -- the spam kept coming for about a year because people sold my info all over the place.

Now I only enter "big company" websites.

Word to the wise: make your company look legit to get contestants. I don't even remember half the sites I entered, but on the other hand for a couple places I became a consumer of their product.

You mean the contest was just a way to get your information and bug you to try services and products?
